Wallpaper Volume 02 brings together seven original designs built around dragons, koi, betta fish and a single black rose. There's a coiling ink dragon set against a full moon, a gilded dragon in flight among golden doves, twin koi circling on deep indigo brocade, and a pair of koi turning a yin-yang in chartreuse and silver. Rich layered patterns sit behind each one: swirl medallions, damask columns and scrollwork. The colors run from warm copper and rust to jewel-toned indigo and sunset magenta. Like the rest of the Wallpaper gallery, many of these designs started out around 2009–2010 as computer desktop backgrounds. They were made as surface patterns, meant to cover something rather than hang on a wall, although several also work well as posters. Every piece is original Legacy Star Designs work, made by hand with no AI. The volume leans toward classic, decor-minded style, with a playful break in Something to Say Rose for anyone who has ever lost their train of thought mid-sentence. A bold black dragon winds its way across a glowing full moon. Its serpent body is built from curling cloud scrolls and flame-tipped whiskers. The warm peach and copper background glows like candlelight on silk, with red and taupe swirl medallions scattered across it. The strong silhouette and soft backdrop make it a striking piece for anyone drawn to mythical creatures and Asian-inspired design.
The design translates well to stickers and magnets, and at poster size the dragon and moon really stand out. It also makes a bold graphic t-shirt. For writers and planners, Moonlit Ink Dragon comes as a ready-made notebook or journal. If you'd rather make your own, one of the larger stickers works as a DIY cover for a plain composition notebook. Click the image or the title to see all the products available for this design.
Two lattice-patterned koi glide through a quiet pond seen from above. Ripples spread in rings around them, and white lace butterflies drift across the water's surface. Layered textures in teal, sea glass and moss green give the water a watery, weathered depth. It's a calm, dreamy piece for anyone who loves koi ponds, water gardens or nature-inspired design.
The all-over texture makes this design a natural fit for phone cases and laptop sleeves. At shower curtain size, it turns a bathroom into a pond-side retreat. It's also available as a ready-made notebook or journal. For a DIY option, one of the larger stickers makes an easy cover for a plain composition notebook. A pale-gold dragon winds through a rich rust-brown brocade, and golden doves fly across the pattern around it. The background has layers of floral medallions and faded scrollwork that give it the look of an antique gilded textile. The palette is warm, elegant and old-world, suited to anyone who loves classic Asian-inspired design with a touch of luxury.
Gilded Dragon and Doves works well on phone cases and stickers. It really comes into its own on the larger pieces. A wall tapestry can hang in place of curtains or as a window covering, and a duvet cover puts a dragon on your bed to keep you warm. With a strong El Niño expected to bring a cooler, wetter winter to much of the South, that's a good thing to have. It's also available as a ready-made journal or notebook. For a DIY option, stick one of the larger stickers on a plain composition notebook as a gilded cover. Click the image or the title to see all the products available for this design.
Two golden koi circle nose to tail at the center of a deep indigo field, their scales and fins drawn in fine detail. Around them, gold scrollwork and a faded pattern of floral medallions build a rich brocade frame. Deep blue against gold gives it the formal, balanced feel of a royal textile. It suits anyone drawn to koi symbolism, jewel-toned decor or classic Asian-inspired design.
The circular composition fits neatly on phone cases and stickers. It also carries a room as a wall tapestry, and as a duvet cover it gives a bedroom the look of a quiet, elegant retreat. It's also available as a ready-made journal or notebook. If you'd rather make your own, a large sticker on a plain composition notebook makes a gold-and-indigo cover. A single black rose rises through a rosy pink and gold medallion, framed top and bottom by vintage tattoo-style banners that read "I had something to say… But I Forgot." It pairs moody, old-school flash art with a wink for anyone who has lost their train of thought mid-sentence. It's perfect for the chronically distracted, the gloriously forgetful, and anyone who has walked into a room and wondered why. Just don't bring it to an argument, because it won't help you win.
The quote and rose make a fun sticker or say it larger with a poster. On a coaster it's a reminder waiting under your coffee cup, and on a tote bag it's a little humor for the errands you almost forgot. It fits especially well on a journal or notebook, since writing things down is the best cure for forgetting them. For a DIY version, a large sticker makes an easy cover for a plain composition notebook. Click the image or the title to see all the products available for this design.
What happens when you put a mirror in a betta's tank? You get this: two black betta fish flaring nose to nose, fins fanned wide, each sure the other is an intruder. In real life, that mirror trick stresses the fish out and isn't recommended, so this is the harmless way to enjoy the standoff. The silhouettes sit on a sunset gradient of magenta, orange and gold, with a pale damask column rising between them. It's a bold, symmetrical design for betta lovers, aquarium keepers and anyone who likes a little drama in their decor.
The wide, mirrored layout suits horizontal and wraparound products. It stretches across a desk mat or laptop sleeve, and on a coffee mug the bettas face off around the cup. It's also a great fit for tote bags, and it's specially formatted for backpacks so the standoff sits just right. Click the image or the title to see all the products available for this design.
A silver-gold koi and a silver-gray koi curl around each other in a yin-yang circle, each fish tracing the other's path. Soft shading gives their bodies a smooth, almost sculpted look, and their fins and whiskers are outlined in glowing yellow. Behind them, a bright chartreuse center fades into faint lace patterning and gray-violet edges. The piece is all about balance, contrast and flow, and it suits anyone drawn to koi symbolism, zen-inspired decor or bold color. The circular design makes a natural sticker or magnet, and it wraps neatly onto a phone case. At full scale it really shines. As a wall tapestry it makes a bright, calming focal point, and on a duvet cover the koi circle over the whole bed. On a shower curtain, the koi swim in their natural element. It's also available as a ready-made spiral notebook, or you can put a large sticker on a plain composition notebook for a DIY cover.
