Texting — Decorative Word & Lettering Art
From Gothic Blackletter to Mandala-Framed Script — Words as Art

This collection began as a set of coloring pages created between 2017 and 2020, long before AI ever entered the creative process. Each design started as an idea for a single word or short phrase, then was digitally lettered in Paint Shop Pro, drawing inspiration from Cricut-style cut art — layered, interlocking letterforms with the kind of ornamental detail typically found in die-cut lettering.
Across both volumes, the designs explore a wide range of lettering styles, from gothic blackletter to flowing script to intricate mandala-framed text. Volume 01 leans toward short, punchy affirmations and playful sass — No, Yes, Maybe, Think Happy Thoughts, It's Not Me It's You, Meow, and Rampant — while Volume 02 pushes into bolder, more elaborate compositions with pieces like Childless Cat Lady, Celebrate Your Smallness, Let There Be Love, Drama Queen, Delinquent, Don't, and Hello. Together, the two volumes turn text itself into the artwork, proving a single word or phrase can carry as much visual weight as any illustration.
These text-forward designs are especially well suited to everyday items where a quick, bold statement makes the biggest impact. Stickers offer a simple way to bring a favorite phrase along on a laptop or water bottle, while t-shirts let the boldest lettering styles take center stage. Phone cases turn a favorite line into something seen dozens of times a day, and buttons make for a small, wearable way to share a bit of personality or attitude wherever you go.
