Flower Press — Pressed Botanical Digital Art
Real Pressed Flowers, Digitally Composed Against Vintage Backgrounds

Flower Press began with real pressed flowers — but not hand-placed the way you'd find in a traditional botanical scrapbook. Each bloom is scanned individually, then arranged digitally against layered backgrounds of vintage sheet music, aged text pages, and soft washed-out color fields. The result keeps the delicate, translucent quality of a true pressed petal — you can still see the vein lines and slight curl at the edges — while giving each piece a composed, painterly structure that would be nearly impossible to achieve by hand.
Layered into that base are a mix of original illustrations and AI-assisted elements: a hand-inked monarch butterfly with bold linework, a top-hatted crow rendered with an illustrator's eye for character, alongside AI-generated birds, butterflies, and floral photography that blend seamlessly into the pressed-flower palette. Ornate frame sketches, star accents, and photographic inserts (a tulip in bloom, a string of lights) round out the collection, so no two pieces in the series feel repetitive even though they share the same visual DNA.
Because the palette stays consistent — soft purples, sage greens, and warm parchment tones — Flower Press pairs easily with nearly anything else in the shop, and several of the pieces work beautifully as standalone background designs on their own. Look for it on mugs and tote bags where the muted colors sit nicely behind text, on phone cases and journals where the pressed-flower detail holds up at small scale, and on wall art and prints where the full collage can be appreciated at size.
A single oversized purple pressed flower takes center stage here, its three broad petals showing every natural vein and slight curl, set against a soft collage of vintage newspaper clippings and pale botanical line art. Smaller pressed blooms in violet and periwinkle drift into each corner, giving the piece a quiet, dreamlike balance between the bold central flower and the muted, text-heavy background. The strong single focal point and soft palette make this a natural fit for wall art and framed prints, where the large flower can really be the star. It also works well on journals, notebooks, and backpacks— anywhere a clean, centered design reads nicely at a glance.
This piece scatters pressed flowers — soft white blossoms, deep plum petals, and pale teal blooms — diagonally across a background of handwritten script and vintage news text, with a few small rust-colored butterflies tucked among the stems. The layered, slightly chaotic arrangement gives it a pressed-flower-scrapbook feel, like pages caught mid-flutter. Background includes partial AI content.
The busier, all-over pattern makes this a strong background design — well suited to phone cases, laptop sleeves, and fabric-based products like scarves or pillows where an edge-to-edge pattern shines.
A bold, hand-illustrated swallowtail butterfly in black, orange, and pink sits at the center of a soft pink pressed flower, all framed by a ring of vintage sheet music and deeper purple blooms in each corner. The illustrated butterfly gives the piece more graphic punch than the others in the collection, while staying tied to the same pressed-flower palette. Background includes partial AI Content.
The circular, framed composition translates beautifully to round or square formats — think posters, coasters, stickers, laptop sleeves, or a statement mug — and the graphic butterfly also stands out well on apparel.
Purple and blue pressed flowers radiate pinwheel-style from the corners of this piece, framing two photographic inserts — a glowing lit Christmas tree and a vivid orange tulip in bloom — over a sheet music and script background with delicate rose line art. The mix of pressed botanicals and full-color photography gives it more depth and seasonal versatility than the others. Also includes partial AI content. This one lends itself to desk mats, read clearly, as well as phone cases or journals that can lean into the seasonal (tree) or floral (tulip) mood depending on the month.

An empty ornate frame, sketched in fine linework, anchors this piece, surrounded by scattered stars, a soft pink rose illustration, and pressed purple flowers in the upper corners, all resting on a faint vintage text background. The open frame gives it a "fill in the blank" quality that feels more like a decorative template than a finished scene. Background includes AI content.
That open, airy composition makes it a great background design for products where text or a photo might be added — think wall tapestries, custom prints, or spiral notebook— and the star accents give it a slightly whimsical edge for stickers and magnets.
A painterly crested bird perched on a branch and a soft pink rose photo sit in white-bordered frames, surrounded by pressed purple and blush flowers over a sheet music and vintage text background, with small hanging tag details along the top edge. The nature-journal styling gives it a collected, curated feel, like a page from a naturalist's sketchbook. Includes partial AI content. The framed, journal-page layout suits notebooks, art prints, and tote bags especially well, and the bird motif broadens its appeal to anyone drawn to nature and birdwatching themes rather than florals alone.

A striking illustrated crow in a black witch-style hat is framed alongside a small teal swallowtail butterfly, surrounded by pressed purple flowers over a sage-green sheet music background. The darker, moodier palette and character-driven crow illustration set this piece apart from the softer, lighter pieces in the collection. Includes AI content.
The distinctive crow motif makes this a strong pick for apparel, tote bags, wall art, stickers, and even backpacks. Aimed at a slightly gothic or whimsical-autumn aesthetic.
