Mixed Media Volume 05: Junks & Moonlit Fortunes
Six Blessings Adrift on a Sea of Vintage Ephemera

The final volume in the Mixed Media gallery moves from florals to the sea — a fleet of Chinese junk boats, each one paired with a single character overlay: Prosperity, Destiny, Beautiful, Lucky, Longevity, and Happiness (No. 05 is being held for randsom). The boats and their full moons are AI-generated, then hand-combined with backgrounds built from postage stamps, sheet music, and aged manuscript pages — the same collage technique as the rest of the gallery, just turned toward a nautical, meditative theme instead of botanicals or cats.
The palette shifts noticeably across the set: Prosperity and Destiny lean warm and sepia-toned with postage-stamp and dusk-lit backdrops, while Beautiful, Lucky, and Longevity move into cooler greens with star-flecked skies and coin motifs. Happiness closes the volume with a dense, handwritten-manuscript background reminiscent of an old declaration or letter, giving the whole series a quiet, contemplative through-line — six boats, six virtues, one moon following them all.
Given the calm, symbolic nature of these pieces, they lend themselves especially well to phone covers and shower curtains, where the character and full moon read as a focal point, and to tees for anyone drawn to the meaning behind a specific virtue. Worth noting: Mixed Media Volume 05 will be the only series in the gallery also offered as digital downloads alongside the DIY journals, so these images do double duty as both wall/product art and downloadable content. Although this page is still a work in progress, the links are active. Feel free to browse.

An orange-sailed junk boat sails beneath a pale moon bearing the character for Lucky, framed by a cool green background with a raven silhouette and faint planner-style journaling elements.
Between the raven, the phone, and the planner grid, this piece has a bit of a story to tell, which makes it fun on smaller, personal items — stickers, magnets, a button — and just as strong scaled up to a poster or a backpack. Longevity felt like the right excuse to have a little fun — the tee's cut for the guy who fully intends to outlast his fantasy football league, his lawn, and his in-laws.
